At Quail Meadow Animal Hospital, we offer urgent care for non-life-threatening illnesses and injuries during our normal business hours. Our goal is to evaluate your pet promptly, provide treatment when appropriate, and refer to an emergency facility if advanced or overnight care is needed.

Gastrointestinal Illness

  • Diagnostic stabilization prior to referral when needed

Palliative & End-of-Life Care

  • Quality-of-life evaluations
  • Compassionate euthanasia for established patients
  • Euthanasia following urgent medical evaluation when appropriate

Important Information for Urgent Care Visits

  • We do not offer ICU level emergency services.
  • Appointment preferred but walk-ins are welcome (may require a wait)
  • Referral may be recommended if your pet’s condition is beyond our hospital’s capability

Conditions We Do NOT Treat

Our priority is your pet’s safety, and for certain emergencies, going straight to an advanced emergency hospital offers faster care and better outcomes. Please seek emergency care immediately if your pet has:

  • Respiratory distress
  • Hit-by-car with severe injuries or severe trauma
  • Open chest or abdominal wounds
  • Active bleeding that cannot be controlled
  • Known or suspected internal bleeding
  • Collapsing or non-responsive patients when aggressive or advanced care is desired
  • GDV (bloat)
  • Foreign body ingestion requiring surgery
  • Surgical emergencies of any kind
  • Any condition likely to require extended monitoring, blood transfusion, or ICU level care
